Located in the heart of Lincoln Square, the new Chicago Folk Center will provide much needed space for the Old Town School's growing array of classes, concerts, and community outreach initiatives.

With a larger stage and expanded seating, the new 425 seat concert hall will enable the School to offer a wider range of world-class performances. When not being used for concerts, space will serve as a cafe and gathering space for students and area residents.

With additional space, our Different Strummers Music Store will be almost four times larger with a wider selection of instruments, music, and recordings.

Plans for the Chicago Folk Center provide more than twice the number of classrooms and teaching studios in sound protected spaces.
